Celebrating National Hospital Week May 11-17

Doctor hand holding red heart

Since 1953, May dates have served as a reminder of the important and life-saving work that hospital staff perform every single day. It brings awareness to the critical services provided to patients and our communities.

This is an opportunity to highlight our employees – from doctors and therapists to housekeeping and IT. We’re grateful to all of our dedicated office workers and mental health techs, nurses and nutritionists, and to everyone else who tirelessly serves each patient and the community at large.

Bloomington Meadows Hospital is always here for our patients. We never close. Our doors are open for those in mental health crisis. Mental health doesn’t take a holiday, a vacation or a snow day. We see people on what may be their worst day and offer hope of recovery, a kind ear and a passion for helping others.

We take care of patients and each other

Chief Executive Officer Charles Brooks, PhD, LCAC, says, “Bloomington Meadows Hospital extends heartfelt appreciation to the professionals and families with whom we’ve worked closely over the last months. The hospital has adopted a new commitment to ‘take superior care of our patients and each other’ and we’ve hired additional mental health caregivers, expanding our staff.”

Bloomington Meadows Hospital recognizes all this good work is not possible without the collaboration and support of talented teams across the hospital. Dr. Brooks celebrates the dedicated officers, therapists, medical professionals, judges, family members and friends. He says, “Thank you for continuing to serve our vibrant community and all that you do for the patients.”
